Ive been trying to capture crowds for a while with absolutely no success but this has inspired me to try a few things. Excellent location and the light and processing are just sublime mate. 12 Dec 2006 4:02pm Darren from JapanAt first I thought the lighting was too bright then it gave the image a nice soft feeling a real sunday aternoon feeling. Nice capture and nice perspective. 12 Dec 2006 11:05pm Colour blind from Tokyo, JapanWow this is impressive even though the sky is super exposed it really contrasts with the deep shadows of the people. I really like the soft edges around the picture...did you use a filter or was it the environment?? Great take I think. A very nice leading picture. 13 Dec 2006 1:17am @Colour blind: Cheers mate! Yeah, I was a bit unsure about the sky too; was trying to get as much light without over-doing it to mix in with the crowd - it was a fine line. The soft edges were done in Photoshop. Great macro by the way! Zach Siebert from Bologna, Italyi saw that exhibit in Lisbon...super impressive. the over exposed sky is spot on. 13 Dec 2006 10:32am Jason Kravitz from Brussels, Belgiumlighting is perfect - looks almost alien... when I saw your image title I was thinking of this before seeing this was the series name. Very nice shot. 13 Dec 2006 12:25pm Ryan Yam from Quezon City, PhilippinesNice warm tones. I like the color. Their heads are on fire! haha kidding. 13 Dec 2006 12:38pm Maoya from Rolle, SwitzerlandWow! really nicely done. I know this expo. Your picture really portrays what people feel when they go see it... Enlightened! 13 Dec 2006 4:46pm sim from the city of Melbourne, AustraliaMr media, you post-production work accentuates the complimentary spectrum which is enhanced by your articulate control of both the aperture and delectable composition. Furthermore the depth of field allows the viewer to concentrate prominently on the subject matter, which in this case seems to exemplify an emotive response; a palette in the realm of a John Brack work... or someshit. I mean, nice work! Keep it up. 14 Dec 2006 5:37am @sim: Haha, thanks Simo. I wish I had you 'articulateness' - i'm not even sure that's a word... Helen from Melbourne, AustraliaFantastic light Chris. This is really a terrific photo. Great exhibition wasn't it? 16 Dec 2006 2:58am |
