Sidonie from Sydney, AustraliaThe title is mysterious. What is it ... ? 15 Jan 2007 7:14am @Sidonie: Cheers Sidonie, it's a title of a song by the Philadelphia Experiment, it just seemed to link for me. Zach Siebert from Bologna, Italyfirst of all, i really like the shadow of the tree. and it's always better to have people in the shot than not (my opinion there), but these 2 characters aren't doing it for me. how can i explain? what do they have to do with rest of pic? what are they doing? just walking? that's not very interesting. sorry to be negative. For example, your post of a few days ago of the men under the bridge was great because those guys fit into the overall framework of image. Here they seem to be there for no reason. they're not even looking at the tree/shadow. i'm honest with you because, based on what i've already seen, i believe you are very talented. 15 Jan 2007 12:30pm Zach Siebert from Bologna, Italyon second glance, maybe the man on the left IS looking at the shadow. oops. :-) 15 Jan 2007 12:32pm Still from Valence, FranceAn interesting composition ! I like the strong game of the shadows! 15 Jan 2007 1:32pm Darren from JapanGreat shot mate. That shadow looks really cool. You also caught the guy searching in his nose by the looks of it. 15 Jan 2007 1:43pm Maoya from Rolle, SwitzerlandNice one too! Have another shadow posted tomorrow and that one is exactly similar to yours. I like the blackness of your tree really makes it stand out in an extra dimension. Couldn't get that effect with mine, to many parasite shadows and didn't want to convert it in bw. 15 Jan 2007 2:01pm elaine from Francenice shadow, the trunk of the tree on the ground looks like the finish line for some races! 15 Jan 2007 5:39pm Mammoth in Chief from Naperville, United StatesLove the shadow. Very creative idea! 15 Jan 2007 6:18pm Stu from Kyoto, JapanThat shadow is really powerful (if that makes sense.) Its almost like a physical presence they're about to bump into, made all the more real by the guy looking at it. Crackin' shot! 15 Jan 2007 7:14pm Evelyn from New Milford, United StatesI'm with Stu, too--the shadow of the tree really looks SOLID, especially the rail thin trunk. What it looks like is that they are real people about to walk into a Shadow-Play, about to be trapped in that big, fluffy web of leaves. Kind of a Peter Pan moment, when the shadows separate from the people and have a life of their own. ...Will they walk away shadowless? * ominous music* 20 Jan 2007 3:04am |
