It's got that stuff on the walls that's supposed to stop graffiti from being done, but never does! Doesn't look like a place I'd want to have to pass through to get to work...

The streaks on the right hand wall look as if the image has been captured from a TV screen. Is this about work, really? What's the aim of such a group project and the criteria this image meets?

@Sidonie: The aim is to look at other peoples interpretation of such a theme. What does work mean to them? I wanted to leave this one open to interpretation.

Probably something from daily life that we tend to ignore, a familiar image when we get inside a building and have to go to our offices or meeting rooms, seems inevitable to look down or look everywhere when we get inside this small vertical circulation boxes!

Cool shot Chris, for me, the elevator for me is where I switch on and off...the ride upto my office is usually where the frown lines appear, the ride down they fade away ;)

You're really impressing me with this series Chris. Another totally unexpected shot. If someone was to have asked me what I thought you would post today, an empty elevator would be very far down the list, probably below "a snowman!" Looks fantastic in the b&w, and your pp is incredible. You must be a lateral thinker! I doff my hat to you, sir! Well done matey!

Our company are moving into a new office, with a lift. This will soon become a new introduction to "work" for me, so this one hits home. Great processing and composition. Nice one.

i like the continuity from yesterday, processing and feel wise and this image by itself is really strong too - commute, inside/outside the box, the lift itself working .. can't wait to see tomorrow's
